dc.description.abstract |
The design of the ONLINE EXAMINATION SYSTEM FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
was started on the first week of October 2012 and lasted for six months. The following
methods were used, Questionnaires, Interviews and Observations. The study was
conducted in line with the objectives, to integrate technology more effectively into
learning and revising practice across disciplines.
In all 400 questionnaires were distributed to final year students of which 398
representing 56.8% responded. The findings gathered showed that a lot of student surf the
internet always to learn.
The study also reveals the effects and problems associated with conducting examination
manually among the teachers and student in various institutions in Kumasi Metropolis.
From the above findings, it was concluded that;
1. Student find it very difficult to get past question on their own
2. The students do not see their result and exams papers after mocks and other
examination have been conduct on time due to the population of the student.
3. Marking examination question becomes very tedious among teachers.
The study ended with some recommendation. Among these recommendations was that,
With this online examination system, students should practice questions on the own,
conduct examination online and see their result instantly which will save the teacher a lot
of time and energy in conducting examination manually |
