<title>A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE GROWTH OF PROPHETIC FAITH CHURCH INTERNATIONAL (PFCI) AND INTERNATIONAL CENTRAL GOSPEL CHURCH (ICGC)-PRAYER TEMPLE, 2005-2015.</title>

<description>A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE GROWTH OF PROPHETIC FAITH CHURCH INTERNATIONAL (PFCI) AND INTERNATIONAL CENTRAL GOSPEL CHURCH (ICGC)-PRAYER TEMPLE, 2005-2015.
ADJEI, JOSEPH
God from the beginning of creation made His intentions clear with respect to growth and
reproduction when He blessed mankind to be fruitful and multiply in Gene sis 1:28 in the
old Testament. In the New Testament too, Jesus Christ‟s Great Commission to the church
to make disciples is seen to be in conformity to the Old Testament blessing for living
things to bear fruit. It therefore becomes an issue if a church for any reason cannot obey
the reproduction command. Hence an empirical research was conducted to find out if the
assertion above were true and the factors impeding the numeric growth of PFCI. This
thesis sought to analyse the growth of the Christian church today and used ICGC and
PFCI as case study. Primary data was gathered from interviews and administration of
questionnaire from pastors, elders, current and formal members of the selected churches
and finally people from the vicinity of the selected churches. Secondary data was
collected from relevant literature, articles in journals and online sources. From the study,
it was found out the churches that have experienced regular growth did so through the
wheels of evangelism; through obedience to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.
It is recommended that churches should refrain from the practice of “recycling of
people”. What this means is that most of their members were not won through their own
evangelistic efforts rather they were extracted from other churches

<description>THE IMPACT OF DIVINE HEALING ON CHURCH GROWTH: A CASE STUDY OF ASSEMBLIES OF GOD GHANA, BANTAMA DISTRICT
ODURO DWUMO, SAMUEL
The study examined the effect of divine healing on Church growth with Assemblies of God Church being used as a case study institution. A literature review was done on the study. A survey design was employed for the study. The convenient sampling technique was used to select the sample. The research instrument used to gather the data was questionnaires. The data obtained from the questionnaires were coded for the purpose data analyses. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was used to analyse the data.
The study revealed that only 4.1% of the respondents joined the church through crusades or personal evangelism, reflecting the doctrine of the church’s enthusiasm to evangelise. The results of the study show that 26.5% of the respondents were born in the Church and 46.9% made personal decisions to join the Church.
About the growth of the church, 98% of the respondents noted that the practice of divine healing positively drive and significantly contribute to church growth. Specially, 75.5% of the respondents indicated that they would seek divine healing outside their main church if their pastors failed to practice it. However, 93.9% of the respondents agreed that education of church members is the most measure to reduce or curb the abuse of divine healing in the church. It is recommended that the church should adopt education as the main channel to reduce the abuse of divine healing by some ministers of God recently. It is further recommended that the Assemblies of God Ministers should intensify the practice of divine healing in order to prevent their church members from leaving for Churches where divine healing is being practiced. Finally, evangelism must be intensified in the churches.

<description>THE EFFECTS OF LEADERSHIP CRISIS ON CHURCH GROWTH: A STUDY OF SOME SELECTED BAPTIST CHURCHES IN THE TAMALE METROPOLIS
NAPARI, ISAIAH
The purpose of this project was to investigate the effects of leadership crisis on church growth within the two Baptist families that is Ghana Baptist Convention (GBC) and Ghana International Baptist Convention (GIBC) in the Tamale Metropolis. Against the backdrop that leadership crisis has much effects on the growth of a church, both qualitative and quantitative approaches were used to examine the effects of leadership crisis on church growth among the Baptist churches in the Tamale metropolis.
Seven Pastors and four members were interviewed by the researcher in this study. It was noted that the leadership conflict understudy is really present among the Baptist churches in the Tamale Metropolis.
The major causes of this conflict in the area were found to be the desire of people to be in top positions, personality clash, lack of proper succession plan, and lack of good communication channels among leaders.
The study revealed that some of the effects of leadership conflict on church growth in those Baptist churches among other things are broken relationships, a sense of withdrawal, weak evangelism, reduction in numbers, backsliding in faith and many others.
Training of Pastors and leaders has been encouraged in this study to help minimize the level of leadership conflict among the Baptist churches in the Tamale Metropolis and other denominations.

<title>CHALLENGES IN CHRISTIAN MISSION TO MUSLIMS: A CASE STUDY OF THE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH, MOSHIE ZONGO, KUMASI</title>
<link>http://localhost:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/8590</link>
<description>CHALLENGES IN CHRISTIAN MISSION TO MUSLIMS: A CASE STUDY OF THE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH, MOSHIE ZONGO, KUMASI
TWENEBOA KODUA, IDDRISU
This work, entitled challenges in Christian missions to Muslims: A case study of the Assembly of God church, Moshie Zongo, Kumasi, examines the establishment of the church in a Muslim dominated community and the problems encountered. The study was based on the assumption that Christian mission to Muslims has been perceived as difficult, dangerous and unprofitable by some Christians. Others also think that Christian missions to Muslims is biblical and conforms to the church’s mandate for the Great Commission. Using the primary method of interviews, the researcher gathered information from key personalities in the study area. Again the researcher made use of personal involvement and experience. The study addressed the beginnings of the church as well as the challenges that cropped up. These challenges included socio-economic, infrastructural, spiritual and cultural factors which affected the church’s growth. Despite the challenges, attempts were made by the church to carry out its missionary mandate. It can be concluded that if the Christian church can rise above fear, ignorance and prejudice, it can go far with its missionary agenda. The study recommends that first, conferences, seminars and workshops be organised for pastors, missionaries and other church leaders to sensitisise them on Muslim evangelism. Again the teaching of Islam should pursued in Christian theological institutions so as to equip the graduates from these institutions with the requisite knowledge about Islam and Christian missions to Muslims. Finally, a support scheme could be put in place to support Christian mission to Muslims in order to support converts who otherwise may be put out from their family homes because of their commitment to Christianity.
