There are several challenges associated with life in old age. At this stage of life, the income of the individual usually reduces as a result of his or her withdrawal from active work, he or she feels lonely, and in addition, increases in expenditure as a result of deteriorated health conditions which will require more financial commitment to manage the health conditions. People at this stage of life most times become dependent on their children and family members who may not be adequately financially resourced because of their already existing responsibilities. This study aims to explore the psychological determinants of retirement preparation among the informal sector workers in Ghana. Using a cross-sectional approach, the study collected data from the informal sector workers in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The region was chosen for the study because it is the most populous region in the country with more than 83% of the people in the informal sector. The Kumasi metropolis is centrally located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It is the second largest city in Ghana and the administrative capital of the Ashanti Region. This study used a quantitative research design, using a well-structured questionnaire to collect data from 550 respondents through purposive and convenience sampling techniques, and using structural equation modeling for the data analysis. The study revealed a significant positive relationship between future time perspective and retirement preparation. The study also revealed a significant positive relationship between attitude towards retirement and retirement preparation. However, there was no significant relationship between retirement goal clarity and retirement preparation. In testing the moderating role of age, the findings of the study indicated that while age significantly moderates the relationship between retirement goal clarity and retirement preparation; it does not moderate the effect of future time preparation on retirement preparation. It is recommended that government policy on adult education should cover the syllabus on the need for preparing for retirement as it will help the workers in the informal sector to take the necessary steps to prepare adequately for retirement. Logistics, which encompasses transportation, warehousing, and distribution, affects global supply chains and the environment. This empirical review investigates logistics' environmental and supply chain sustainability. Literature and empirical studies are examined to determine how logistics sector environmental sustainability methods affect supply chain sustainability goals. This research examines important literature themes, trends, and findings to better comprehend logistics operations' environmental sustainability concerns and prospects. This review of logistics operations and supply chain sustainability informs future research and logistics environmental performance efforts. Logistics operations must cut carbon emissions, minimalize environmental impact, and strengthen supply chain resilience and competitiveness. Logistics operations' environmental sustainability and supply chain sustainability were examined in the empirical review. Summary of relevant literature, identification of research gaps, evaluation of past study methods, and analysis of supply chain resilience and competitiveness were the main goals. The technique included choosing relevant research and data sources, gathering and analyzing data, and summarizing significant conclusions. The results showed that green transportation, route optimization, and energy-efficient warehouse operations may boost logistics sustainability. These sustainability approaches boost supply chain sustainability by improving cost-effectiveness and competitiveness. Supply chain partners must collaborate to improve environmental sustainability, according to the assessment. Ghanaian Political Marketing Perspective Atsu, Nkukpornu; Etse, Nkukpornu; Adom, Kwame ABSTRACT This chapter explores the intricate connection between celebrity endorsement, political engagement and voter behaviour in the political marketing landscape of Ghana. This study examines the challenges and opportunities associated with celebrity involvement in politics and offers recommendations for effectively utilising celebrity status in political contexts. The researchers conducted interviews with potential voters in Cape Coast, a city located in the central region of Ghana. The interview findings indicate that celebrities’ failure to win elections, both for themselves and for the political parties they support, can be attributed to several factors. These include their detachment from grassroots communities, limited social impact, inadequate involvement in political party activities, and a mismatch between their previous lifestyle and campaign messages. The authors provide recommendations for celebrities seeking to achieve successful entry into politics. The recommendations encompass participating in grassroots activities, establishing connections with individuals, creating a social impact, upholding authenticity and a positive image, and displaying long-term dedication. Further, how capital mobility affect the nexus between business cycle synchronization and sustainable trade development is an area that is yet to be explored. This paper examines the role of capital mobility in the nexus between business cycle synchronization and sustainable trade development using the panel corrected standard errors model in 30 African economies for the period 2006–2020, thus addressing the gaps in the previous studies. We concluded that: First, the direct effects of business cycle synchronization worsen sustainable trade development in Africa. Second, capital mobility promotes sustainable trade development in Africa. Third, capital mobility may be a viable instrument to mitigating the detrimental effects of synchronized business cycles on the sustainable trade development in Africa. Fourth, our research contributes to the extant literature by determining the threshold at which capital mobility can affect the association between synchronized business cycles and sustainable trade growth. Fifth, our study revealed that business cycle synchronization and capital mobility have a causal relationship with sustainable trade development in Africa.
