Employees are company’s/organization’s livelihood. However, the success of any organization depends on it employees and how these employees are motivated. No system moves without it, and no organization achieve its objective without motivating it human resources or employees. The main objective of the study is to investigate into the effect of motivation on employee’s performance and factors that motivate employee’s performance in Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly. To fill this lacuna and achieve these goals, the current study designs a questionnaire using 60 respondents/employees of the Assembly including casual workers and nabco personnel’s. The study was guided by the mixed method approach to research. Data for the study were collected using both primary and secondary data, to avoid biasness the researcher adopted the simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques to select a sample size of 60 employees. A response rate of 100% was achieve. The data collected from the employees was analyzed using descriptive statistics, frequencies and percentages. The study reveal that cash will always be a major factor in motivating employees, since other motivational factors such as bonuses and incentive are in the right direction except it needs an upward adjustment. The study therefore, recommend that government and the District Assembly should increase employees’ salaries via promotion, overtime allowances and holiday with pay should be used as motivational tools.en_US
