Description: | Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises (SMEs) are considered a key component of the economy in many different countries around the world (Taylor, 2005). SMEs forms a greater percentage of the businesses in Ghana and employs more than 50 percent of the workforce. However, their contribution to the economy is much to be desired of. In addition, the average age of SMEs is very less, which means that, their ability to survive and grow is limited. SMEs can only grow and develop when they adopt proper marketing strategies to sell their products or services to their customers (Turkson, 2006). |
