Abstract: | The management of every organization expects their employees to give of their maximum performance for the achievement of the goals set by the organization. To make this aim materialize, management is expected to motivates its employees on to perform better, provide the needed logistics to enhance efficiency, provide a conducive and enabling environment for employees to perform their duties and see to a healthy relationship in the organization especially between managers, supervisors and their subordinates. |
Description: | Human resources have shifted from dependable employees to empowered employees. Dependable employees illustrate a condition where human resources are very passive and depend heavily on employer’s commands. In this case, the organization does not encourage and facilitate employee creativity (Cascio, 1995, Draft 2003). There is great difference between organizations with dependable employees and organizations which employ and encourage empowered employees. |
